I see a blank page with no Ribbon

If you see a “blank” page when you try to login when you expect to be logged in to the administration portal there are two possible reasons: You are logged in as the public user You have not had a role assigned to your login or the role assigned to you does not have sufficient permissions You are logged in as the public user Perhaps you have been visiting the public pages, ie under https://<shortname>.

Screen seems to have frozen - I see grey buttons

Our pages save in the background, and update the buttons and screen when the work has been completed. Grey buttons for example remain that way (disabled) until the server tells them the work has been completed and it can continue. However sometimes you might get a frozen screen, often this corrects itself within a few seconds, however we have noticed occasional things can give you that grey button where the screen does not refresh:

Wrong Documents linked to Contact

We had a question from a customer and it goes something like this: Jane Doe (the girl I spoke to you about yesterday), re-enrolled last night in the Diploma. Earlier yesterday, I cancelled her registration in the Certificate 3. She was asking me to check to see whether she had done the registration right and it seems that I’ve overwritten someone elses' record. If you do a contact search now on Jane Doe, you can see that 2 records come up but one of them is actually Tony Brett (you can tell by the email address).

Fix Email Subjects with HTML such as &amp;

If you have an email subject that looks like this: Certificate &amp; evaluation of HLTAID001 Provide CPR +22282VIC & 22099VIC in Australia It is because there is HTML formatting in the subject line that needs changing. Do this by editing the email subject (Publish>Content>edit) click on the ‘HTML’ button so that you can edit the source HTML then change the & to &, update the HTML and save.

Email Linked Roles

How can a person to receive a copy of an existing email? CourseSales.com uses the process rules to work out which roles to send emails to. This means that one rule can be used for many courses, and who receives each email can vary by course. Assuming a login exists for the person and they have an existing role you need to add the role to the process rule, then the login to the course master or course date.
