Some are directed to a junk/spam folder, other emails are never delivered at all. A number of email providers (including the big three - Google, Microsoft and Yahoo) no longer use “blacklists” (ie lists of known email spammers) but use various methods of identifying spam, ie email content, authentication etc.

All short codes can be used in emails and PDFs to generate customised content. A limited set of these codes can be used in the payment pages of a payment method. Short codes use words to describe the field enclosed within square brackets eg [Venues:VenueDisplayLocationName]. Some of the short code names are obvious others are not to obvious or slight different to the expected name, due to field name changes or standardization (short codes lag behind any changes due to them being on static content).

Similar to a mail merge you can address emails and PDF files to those included on documents. Within email or PDF templates the variables appear within square brackets eg. [Documents:DocumentContent46] or [CourseDates:PriceCurrent] When editing an email you can access fields from two places, the HTML edit menus have the Field Picker and to the right there is a Fields button that opens a popup. The Field Picker allows selection of general topics and then specific fields, for one-off insertion.

You can use the HTML editor to create templates that can then be converted to PDF. Not all your best efforts immediately transfer to a masterpiece in PDF however. When designing PDF templates keep in mind that the conversation from HTML to PDF by the TC PDF generator needs basic HTML. You will need some basic HTML coding experience as you are unlikely to be able to create robust PDF templates without editing the HTML code directly.

Troubleshoot Email

To first work out which Role & login email is not working use the document external ID e.g. 6CTXMJ6, to check the process step that caused the error.
